By bike or by foot

From MJ Rentals holiday homes you can easily reach many interesting places by bicycle or by foot. This option will certainly allow you to explore the more beautiful part of the region. Villa Jurka and Secret Loft are located just a few minutes’ bike ride south of the upper Wisla river. An ideal place for longer bike trips. A place worth cycling to is Tyniec, 20 km from Paszkowka. In Tyniec, a Benedictine monastery, which has existed since 1044, rises on a rock above the “Tyniec Gate.” It is one of the most important monasteries in Poland.

From here you can easily get to Cracow, to which many bicycle routes lead through the Wolski Forest. Where you will see wooded limestone rocks or the Kosciuszki Mound. A great idea for bike rides is also an trip to Cracow’s Old Town. Which, thanks to traffic restrictions and green lanes, is a veritable paradise for cyclists. A great idea for an all-day bicycle trip is a trip to the Zakrzówek Reservoir. There, you will find azure water, lots of vegetation, white cliff-like walls and blue skies waiting for you.

Towns in Lesser Poland for a day trip

Not far from Villa Jurka and Secret Loft are such towns as Lanckorona, Wadowice and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Lanckorona is a tiny and extremely charming town 18 km away from the cottages in Paszkowka. You can reach it both by car and by bicycle. The town is famous primarily for its Galician atmosphere, and its unusual charm is given by the historic wooden buildings around the market square and the castle ruins towering over it. Here you can see not only beautiful monuments, but also taste homemade products and admire beautiful handicrafts.

Wadowice, 20 kilometers from Paszkowka and 15 kilometers from Zator. Owes its popularity to the person of Pope John Paul II, who was born and lived here as Karol Wojtyla. The main attraction is his house, but the town also has many other historical sites to offer. Also popular are the hiking trails starting here in the beautiful Beskid Mały – nearby Leskowiec. Other peaks are the pope’s favorite spots The St. James Trail also runs here. A great place for a day trip is also Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. A small town located at the foot of Mount Zar, about 11 km from our holiday houses in Paszkowka and 30 km from our apartment in Zator.

Calvary is known throughout the country, and even abroad, for its craftsmanship. The traditions of which date back as far as the seventeenth century. The other value that makes this town famous is its lively religious cult. Next to Częstochowa, Kalwaria is the most important center of the pilgrimage movement in Poland.

Sports and wellness in the Lesser Poland region

The entire complex offers 123 attractions on an area of 70 hectares and consists of six themed zones with attractions for every age group. Here you will ride roller coasters, play interactive games, watch movies in the 7D cinema and see extraordinary shows. Another interesting place near MJ Rentals is the Zatorland Amusement Park, where three theme parks await you: the Dinosaur Park, the Insect Park and the Mythology Park, as well as a funfair.

Great fun and relaxing by the water

If you are interested in relaxing by the water and want to laze around, you can go to the beach at Bagry Reservoir. This is one of the largest bodies of water in the vicinity of Cracow. Here you can swim safely. relax on the sandy beach and practice water sports. The sandy beaches at Kryspin Reservoir are also a popular destination for outings in sunny weather. For water park enthusiasts, we recommend Park Wodny Kraków, which offers 3 pools with a total area of 2,000 m². Many slides with a total length of over 800 m, and attractions for guests of all ages, such as wild springs, a rushing river, a rainbow path, water spouts, counter-currents, water sports areas and swimming lanes.
